CWMA Route Setting

We offer the following courses:

RS2 'practical route setting', a two day course focusing on the practical skills needed to efficiently set high quality routes to a client's brief. Candidates are assessed on a subjects, both practical and theoretical.Candidates must be capable of working safely at height using rope access methods and although there is no minimum standard that candidates should be able to climb at, candidates with limited experience may struggle to meet the requirements of the course.

Given the rapid development of artificial climbing structures, the design and range of holds, route setting techniques and legal issues; all qualifications are valid for a period of three years. Re-validation is conducted via distance learning and assessment.
