The CWMA makes sure that each of its members has testing procedures and quality assurance that meet its own high standards. Members must show that their employee training and workplace conditions are properly maintained. New companies have the chance to become probationary members. These need not have been in business for twelve months, but must have built at least one permanent wall. The association also provides a forum to discuss problems and offer conciliation between members and clients. The CWMA liaises with the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) - the sports recognised official body - and Government agencies including the Department of Trade and Industry and the Health & Safety Executive over legislation - including draft CEN standards - which affect climbing wall construction. The CWMA offers members and clients the chance to share their experiences in this fast growing industry. We are dedicated to keeping it properly regulated. |
